It is the Achievement School District’s priority to make sure we know how each of our students is progressing academically and that we communicate that progress to parents and the community.

The ASD requires all schools to administer a formative assessment three times per year in order to monitor the progress of student reading growth. Some students also participate in a math assessment if their school does not have students that participate in state assessments. View state assessment timelines and FAQs here.

Students in grades K-8 participate in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment. High school students participate in a reading assessment selected by their school that produces the same common measure for all schools.

District assessment takes place on these dates for the 2017-18 school year:

Schools administer additional assessments to monitor student achievement and parents can find more information about each school’s specific assessments in the Student Handbook (English) (Español).
