Test & Assessments

Measuring Our Progress

It is the Achievement School District’s priority to make sure we know how each of our students is progressing academically and that we communicate that progress to parents and the community.

The ASD requires all schools to administer a formative assessment three times per year in order to monitor the progress of student reading growth. Some students also participate in a math assessment if their school does not have students that participate in state assessments. Please view state assessment timelines and facts below:

OverviewPurpose of Tests

Students in grades K-8 participate in reading and mathematics assessments as designated by their school or operator. High school students participate in a reading assessment selected by their school that produces the same common measure for all schools.

TNReady

The Tennessee Department of Education has continued to provide information to families regarding the state assessment, TNReady.
