Foundational Literacy Resources 

Reading RocketThe library provides teachers with effective, research-based classroom strategies to help build and strengthen literacy skills in print awareness, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Each strategy in the library includes instructions on how to use the strategy, downloadable templates, examples, recommended children’s books to use with the strategy, differentiation for second language learners, and more.

TN Foundational Skills Curriculum Supplement-TN Foundational Skills Curriculum Supplement is an open-source resource that can be used to help support students’ foundational literacy skills acquisition. 

TDOE PBS Learning Media-TDOE PBS Learning Media provides video examples of foundational skills instruction by grade band. 

Commonlit-Commonlit has a collection of reading passages in all literary and nonfiction genres for grades 3-12.
