As we launch into the New Year we look forward to welcoming new charter partners that will help us realize our mission of bringing schools from the bottom 5% to the top 25% in the state in five years. The process for finding these partners—the Achievement School District (ASD) authorization process—will officially launch on February 3rd. Here’s a sneak peak at what’s to come.
Last month we announced three exciting changes to the Achievement School District (ASD) charter authorization process for the 2015-16 school year. The first two, a more narrow focus and an extended window for operators to submit their proposal, are to ensure that we receive high-quality applications that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the students and communities we serve.
Last week we reached a critical milestone—announcing school matches for the 2014 school year. Over the next seven months the Achievement School District and our charter partners will work with families, faculty and staff to design, plan, and create the best possible school for the students joining the ASD next year.
